What does training involve?

The bulk of Wing Chun training is centered on Chi Sau (Also known as "Sticking Hands") an dthe practice of three forms: SUI NIM TAO, CHUM KIU and BIU JI (There is also a wooden dummy form).

 

Chi Sau is a partner exercise that is designed to drill fundamental basic techniques, build coordination, sensitivity and powerful reflex responses.

Wing Chun's forms are a systematic set of movements that are designed to teach specific techniques and theory. Proper co-ordination, posture, balance and timing in a progressive and systematic manner. Classes are of a 90-minute duration.

How qualified is the instructor?

Sifu Enzo Verratti has been training in Wing Chun since 1979. He has had an association with Sifu David Peterson first as a student, and has continued his association with him since becoming an independent instructor in 1999.

He has also made training trips to Hong Kong to train with the late Sifu Wong Shun Leung and has participated in Sifu Wong Shun Leung's many seminars held in Melbourne, Australia.

Enzo has also trained in Judo, Karate and later cross trained in Boxing-Kickboxing and has aquired practical experience working in the security industry.

How do i get started?

Simply come on in and take a free introductory training session. You may want to ask some questions, fill in a membership form and begin training at the next session!
